so yeh pretty much every minute of everyday he is downloading movies and songs and porn probably, it is the most annoying thing ever as it just ruins my connections, makes my computer so slow and i cant play xbox online. it literaly takes me 20 minutes to load 1 minute of youtube video. the internet router is in my room because of my xbox but i cant turn it off to try and give him the hint because my mum and dad need the internet for there business and they get angry. i dont know if his downloading effects them or not because they dont seem to complain. anything i can do?Huh ps. i couldnt care less if it did anything to his connection

everything you do using your internet, builds up in the stream, so if you have your brother downloading porn, your dad online for buisiness, your mom looking up a cooking recipe, and you on xbox live, the internets not gonna be lightning fast, most of the connection will be drawn to YOU because xbox live takes alotta power in the internet, and your brother is too cause downloading porn and songs takes alot too.

If you have access to the router's admin page, read about MAC filtering:
http://www.ehow.com/how_2124395_set-up-mac-filtering-network.html

You will need to know the MAC addresses of your parent's computers and yours then put them in the list. Only those in the MAC filtered list will be have access to the router even if the correct wifi password is used.
